This program aims to prepare special education teachers who can bring a sensitive, critical, and proactive approach to the field. They will be able to redefine knowledge related to pedagogy, education, and didactics, while interacting effectively in different educational levels, settings, and contexts. Additionally, they will have the skills to reflect on, innovate, and research to enhance educational, cultural, and social processes, particularly for individuals with disabilities and/or exceptional abilities and talents.
Their processes involve impacting areas of education, society, and politics by training graduates in special education. This training is connected to the goal of including individuals with disabilities in the University and providing community services through programs and initiatives, such as:

- Communication Access Room for Diverse Learners
- Empowerment Program for Individuals with Disabilities and Exceptional Abilities and their Families (Pradif for its acronym in Spanish)
